DESALINATION: THE SOLUTION

The manufacture, installation and start up of two sea water reverse osmosis plants, was awarded to TEMAK and have been in operation since December 2008 at Erissos Municipality, Fiskardo, Cephallonia.  The first plant produces 500 cubic meters per day and the second 200 cubic meters per day.

The project was awarded following an International Tender, to TEMAK SA, the leading Greek water treatment company for almost 40 years.

The product water is potable and complies with EU and Greek Legislation Standards.

TEMAK possesses excellent know-how and international experience in desalination, with numerous systems installed in the private and public sector, as well as abroad, all working in very well and producing the required quantity and quality of water.

TEMAK operates from its fully equipped, modern premises of 5.000 m2 in Attiki and 2.600 m2 in Sindos, Thessaloniki and employs 75 people in total, of whom over 50% are Mechanical and Chemical Engineers.  The company is also certified by ISO 2000/9001.

The solution to water shortage in the Greek Mainland and islands is desalination.

This is confirmed every day by the number of desalination plants installed in various areas of the country, operating efficiently and economically to produce healthy drinking water.

TEMAK has acquired the necessary know-how in the design, manufacture, installation and operation of big Desalination Plants.  Therefore, the quality of product water, the low running cost and the long-term smooth operation are guaranteed.
