On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, we had the great honor of attending the inauguration of the new Drinking Water Treatment Plant designed and constructed by TEMAK for the Municipality of Velo–Vocha. The project was completed and delivered on schedule in less than four months, meeting the highest engineering standards and making a significant contribution to the modernization of the area’s drinking water infrastructure.

The inauguration ceremony was honored by the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Dimas, the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, Mr. Thanasis Kontogeorgis, and the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Ms. Marilena Soukoulis, highlighting the importance of the project for the local community and the sustainable management of water resources.

The new water treatment system has a capacity of 300 m³ of water per hour, providing more than 7,000 m³ of  drinking water every day. Equipped with advanced water treatment technologies, fully automated operation and high energy efficiency, the plant ensures reliable water quality, low operating costs and a reduced environmental footprint. Furthermore, the reuse of filter backwash water for irrigation purposes represents another important step towards the responsible and sustainable management of water resources.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Municipality of Velo–Vocha, the Municipal Administration, and the Technical and Administrative Services for their excellent cooperation throughout the project. We also wish to express our appreciation to the entire TEMAK team, whose professionalism, expertise and dedication made the successful completion of yet another demanding project possible.

For more than 45 years, TEMAK has been designing and delivering innovative water treatment solutions that protect public health, promote the responsible use of natural resources and create long-lasting infrastructure of enduring value for local communities.

We sincerely thank everyone involved for their trust and cooperation and wish the new rapid water treatment plant many years of successful operation, providing the residents of the Municipality of Velo–Vocha with an abundant supply of high-quality, safe drinking water.

📍 Metropolitan Expo – Hall 2 – Stand A18 – B17
📅 February 28, 2026

With the participation of:

🎙 Georgios Papadokotsolis – Geologist, scientific collaborator with Universities in Greece & Italy
🎙 Panagiotis Ktenidis – Electrical & Mechanical Engineer (NTUA), Researcher in Renewable Energy Systems (University of West Attica)
🎙 Stathis Matos – Mechanical Engineer, Commercial Director at TEMAK

At Climatherm 2026, we chose to do more than simply present technologies. In an exhibition highlighting modern energy and technical applications,   we believe that water can no longer be treated as a separate issue. Groundwater resources, desalination with renewable energy, water reuse, boiler system optimization, and R/O investment efficiency now form a unified cycle.

We shared not only technical solutions and equipment, but also innovative approaches supported by real data and applications already in operation — along with insights into what lies ahead in the coming years.

👉 If you are planning to invest in desalination, water reuse, or energy-efficient water treatment systems, the TEMAK team is ready to support you with technical assessment and solutions based on real performance data.
