NEW DESALINATION PLANT FOURNOI

Another TEMAK SA desalination plant was installed and operates at Fournoi Korseon, Ikaria.

The plant is based on reverse osmosis membranes technology, produces 100 cubic meters per day of drinking water and is fully automatic.  The feed water from the sea is at first, treated by automatic filters and later, the salts are separated from the drinking water in the reverse osmosis membranes by technologically advanced mechanisms and equipment.  At the last stage, water is enriched with calcium and magnesium before it is sent to consumption.

The produced drinking water is excellent from chemical and microbiological point of view and complies with the EU and Greek Legislation directives.

This plant is added to a long list of desalination plants, TEMAK has installed and operated in Greece as well as abroad.

In the past two years, TEMAK has installed in foreign countries as the United Arab Emirates, Romania, Syria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, over 50 desalination systems of total producting capacity 5.200 cubic meters per day, working in full safety and reliability.  The containerized systems offer a secure and covered space for production in addition to the flexibility of movement.
